We have used Britrail England passes in the past. It's a convenient way to travel on UK trains, but it is wise to reserve seats beforehand as we had to stand for a couple of trips. Good value for UK train travel.

Although I appreciated the convenience & economy my pass gave to me, I found the service & attention lacking on your trains. I travelled from Newcastle to Taunton & although the service was better on this line, a porter was nowhere to be found. (I am 68, with a large suitcase) & had to rely on the kindness of fellow male travellers. There was also no hot water on the whole stretch meaning no tea or coffee. From Taunton to Strood, once again, no help with my case & the refreshment car never appeared once. As I had purchased a first class ticket, I was quite disappointed overall. I did get help on my trip from Strood to London as I took the time to search for an employee. To his credit, he wouldn't accept a gratuity. Over all, I wonder if first class really is worth the extra in this day and age!

This recent trip to the U.K. (my birthplace) was the third time I have used ACP. The service from start to finish was far above what I had expected on the first occasion and above reproach on the subsequent occasions. The cost of the First Class ticket is competitive and the fact that it includes extras is, of course, a bonus. I have changed my route home to see my family now because taking the train from Heathrow to the North East is far far better than driving from Manchester. Thank you ACP for another successful trip.

My husband and I have been using Britrail passes for many years. We especially love making the journey from London Paddington to Penzance, since Cornwall is one of our favorite places in the world. Some of our friends ask why we don't rent a car and drive instead. I reply that I can't imagine why I would do that when taking a journey by train is the best option by far. We love drinking tea and eating shortbread cookies as we look at the scenery unfold. We love meeting interesting people and sharing stories about our visits. We've traveled the length and breadth of the U.K., and have never had a bad experience on a train. Everyone from the conductors to the porters has always been extremely nice, and helped us in any way they can. Our only regret is that we can only manage to do it once a year...so far. Thanks, Britrail, for providing such great service and beautiful journeys for so many people, for so many years.

I had the occasion to buy a 3 day non consecutive Brit Rail pass earlier this year. It is a true bargain as travel by rail on a walk up basis is very expensive in the UK. The pass allows for nearly limitless flexibility at a truly low cost assuming one is traveling more than 100 miles at a time. You must activate your pass the first time you use it at a ticket window. However, after that, you just board any train you like. You can travel peak or non-peak. I will certainly buy again.

A great way to see the UK!!Cathy Cosham ,CanadaFebruary 03, 2013
This was the second time I bought a britrail pass in two summers. I like the convenience of no worry travel with flexibility. We had train schedules and had booked accommodations but with the trains running regularly we were able to change our day plans when we found we just wanted to see more of the town we were in. If we decided we wanted to do a side/day trip or make an unexpected stop we could. A great way to travel! I found the train staff to be very helpful and friendly. Definitely my choice of travel!
