Need to get from Paris to Venice by train during your next European vacation adventure? Look no further than the Thello high-speed night train, a cozy, accommodating commuter that lets you rest your head comfortably as you travel a distance spanning 3 countries! Thello night trains have no traditional seating layout. Instead, you have a choice of accommodation which can be reserved in advance, ranging from 3-bed cabins to 4- or 6-berth (bed) couchette compartments.
The Thello overnight train departs from Paris every evening, making a single stop in the French city of Dijon before traveling direct across the southern tip of Switzerland. Once in Italy, the train makes 3 quick stops (Milan, Verona and Padua) before arriving in Venice, where it makes 2 destination stops: one at Mestre and one at Santa Lucia station.
Since Venice is made up of over 100 small islands, there are no roads – only easy-flowing canals. At the center is the Grand Canal, the city’s main thoroughfare. During your stay, be sure to visit the Piazza San Marco square, Rialto Bridge and Doge’s Palace!
Purchase your Thello e-ticket here. Once you’ve placed your order with us, you will receive your purchase confirmation complete with a PNR identification number (“XXXXXX”) by email. Just show this ID number at the station when boarding and you’re set to travel from Paris to Venice by train.
