  • Off-peak tickets offer some flexibility, allowing you to travel aboard any train operating during off-peak hours on your ticket date. Though peak times may vary, they are typically before 9:30am and between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

Seat reservations

Exceptions where the seat may not be reserved at the time of booking include shorter journeys that don’t offer seat reservations or when the allocation of reservable seats is fully booked. In either case, your ticket is still valid and you can sit in any vacant seat.

Ticket purchase conditions and delivery
Tickets for travel from Manchester to Birmingham by train can be booked up to 3 months in advance. Refunds and exchanges are not allowed.

Once your e-ticket order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation with a ticket collection #. Collect your physical ticket simply by using this number at a self-service ticket dispensing machine at the station before boarding.
