Seat reservations

In most cases, a seat reservation is included with a ‘Ticket on Departure’ e-ticket. Exceptions include shorter journeys that don’t offer seat reservations and when the number of allocated reservable seats is filled. In either case, your ticket is still valid and you can sit in any vacant seat.

E-ticket purchase conditions and delivery

Tickets for travel from Glasgow to Newcastle by train may be booked up to 3 months in advance. Refunds and exchanges are not allowed.
Once your e-ticket order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation with a ticket collection #. Collect your physical ticket simply by entering this number at a self-service ticket dispensing machine at the station before boarding.
