From the time table change on June 18th new double decker trains will be put into service on the following lines:
- Stockholm-Västerås-Örebro-Hallsberg-Göteborg
- Linköping-Norrköping-Stockholm-Gävle
The double decker trains on these lines are now open for booking of global priced tickets as well as seat reservations. One train can consist of either one, two or sometimes even three units. However, please observe the following details when making reservations:
- The 1st class is always located on the top level in the coach named “X40Z1”, seats 29 to 52
- The rest of the seats in coach “X40Z1” are booked as 2nd class
- The coach “X40Z1” is always numbered as coach no. 1 in the reservation system (or 11 or 21 when more units are running together)
- All seats in the coach “X40Z5” are booked as 2nd class
- The seats no. 37-44 in the coach “X40Z5” are booked as pets’ compartment
- The coach “X40Z5” is always numbered as coach no. 3 in the reservation system (or 13 or 23 when more units are running together)
- The coach “X40Z3” is normally not open for booking, i.e. reserved for passengers not having a ticket with seat reservation.
These double decker trains are also in service on the line Stockholm-Västerås-Örebro-Hallsberg, but these trains are all non-booking trains.
