The Prague Excursion Pass

DESCRIPTION

  • The “Prague Excursion Pass” authorises the owner to one journey from any railway border point of the Czech Republic to Prague plus one journey from Prague to any railway border point of the Czech Republic within 7 days of the total validity of 6 months. The day of utilisation runs from 0.00 a.m. to 0.00 p.m.
  • Prices are available for adults, youth and children
  • The pass is available for 1st and 2nd class travel.
  • Child prices are available at 50% of the Adult fare (6 – 12 years)
  • Children under 6 travel free.
  • Reduced price for persons younger than 26 years.
  • Tickets can be issued up to 6 months in advance of travel and must be validated within 6 months from the date of sale.


ELIGIBILITY

  • The “Prague Excursion Pass” may only be sold to persons residents outside Europe by overseas tour operators and travel agencies.


CONDITIONS OF USE

  • The "Prague Excursion Pass" is a personal and not transferable ticket. It is only valid in combination with a passport the number of which has been entered in it and when the traveller has confirmed this by signing it. The passport has to be presented to the ticket inspectors upon request.
  • Proof of the user’s identity and place of residence (and the age of owners of youth passes and child passes) has to be shown via presentation of an identity card when the pass is purchased and when it is used.
  • The person eligible for the pass fixes the date on which validity starts and subsequently the days on which they will be valid as well.
  • The traveller has to enter the date of use in the relevant column using a fountain pen or a ballpoint pen before boarding the train. Travellers who fail to do that, who present passes in which entries have been overwritten or erased, or passes that have otherwise been adulterated or passes that have not been issued for them shall be treated as travellers who do not dispose of valid tickets.


SUPPLEMENTS

  • Users of "Prague Excursion Pass" are exempted from paying supplementary fares/extra charges, with the exception of supplementary fares and fees for:

    • Reservations.
    • Couchettes and berths in sleeping cars.


REFUNDS

  • Refunds are granted only on unvalidated passes and must be presented to the issuing office within 6 months from the date of sale.
  • Refunds are subject to a 15% cancellation fee.
  • No refunding when the pass is lost or stolen.
  • No partial refunding except in the event of illness/accident upon presentation of a medical certificate.
  • In the event of an issue of incorrect or wrong passes by points of issue overseas, the customers that are concerned have to be helped out using the national pass offers, the non-use has to be confirmed on the “wrong" “Prague Excursion Pass” and subsequently CD will reimburse the price with maximum fairness.


TICKET ISSUE

  • The Prague Excursion Pass may be sold 6 months in advance.
