The Greek Flexipass and Greek Flexipass Rail'N Fly

DESCRIPTION

  • The Greek Flexipass and Greek Flexipass Rail'n Fly offer unlimited rail travel on the Greek Railways (Hellenic Railways ) network according to the type of pass purchased.
  • The Greek Flexipass Rail’n Fly also offers a one way or return air journey between Athens and all Greek Islands served by any local carrier. Airport taxes are additional.
  • Additional flight coupons can be purchased at a special price to the above mentioned destinations in Greece,
  • Rail travel days may be used consecutively or non-consecutively.
  • Youth fares – a discounted rate available for all those who have not reached 26 years old on the first day of travel.
  • Children 4 –12 travel at a special rate, children under 4 travel free when sharing an paying passengers seat or bed. In particular for the flight of a child under 4 years, the Airlines regulations are applied.

VALIDTY

  • Greek Flexipass – any 3 or 5 days unlimited train travel within 1 month
  • Greek Flexipass Rail ‘n Fly – any 3 or 5 days unlimited train travel in a 1 month period + flight coupon (choice between one way or return flight) in 1st or 2nd class

ELIGIBILITY

  • Residents of Greece are not entitled to purchase or use any of the above passes.

SUPPLEMENTS AND RESERVATIONS

  • Intercity supplements are included in the price, with the exception of the InterCity Express Trains.
  • Train reservations can be made at the main railway stations or at the following travel agency in Athens:

  • Flight coupons can also be exchanged at the above agency. NB. Flight coupons cannot be exchanged at the airport.

CONDITIONS OF USE

  • Passes must be validated within 6 months from the date of issue.
  • Passes must be validated at an official railway office prior to boarding the first train.
  • The passholder must enter the day of travel before boarding the first train on that day.
  • If an overnight train starts after 7.00p.m. on a validated pass, the passholder must enter the following days date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.
  • Presentation of a valid passport or identity card to the train control staff is compulsory.
  • Altered or not valid tickets will be confiscated by the train staff and the passenger will be charged the full fare for the journey.
  • On the last day of validity, the passenger must choose to travel on a train that is scheduled to arrive at the destination station prior to 24.00hours.

REFUNDS

  • Greek passes must be presented for refund unused and not validated to the original issuing office where the pass was bought.
  • A 15% cancellation fee will be charged.
  • Greek passes are not refundable if lost or stolen.
  • Passes must be presented for refund within 1 year from the date of issue.
