DESCRIPTION
- The Balkan Flexipass offers unlimited First Class Rail travel in the following countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia (FYRM), Serbia and Montenegro (former Yugoslavia), Romania and Turkey.
- The pass is available for 5, 10 or 15 days flexi travel within one month.
- Adult, Child (4 – 12), Youth (Under 26) and Senior (60+) prices are available.
- The Balkan Flexipass is personal and non transferable and is valid only in connection with a valid passport or identity card.
- The Balkan Flexipass offers additional discounts to pass holders with partner companies.
ELIGIBILITY
- The Balkan Flexipass can be purchased by anyone not permanently resident in the participating countries of the Balkan Pass.
SUPPLEMENTS AND RESERVATIONS
- Intercity price supplements, seat and sleeper reservation fees are not included in the price of the Balkan Flexipass.
TICKET ISSUE
- The Balkan Flexipass may be issued 6 months in advance. All details must be completed on the ticket cover
(name, country of residence and passport/Identity card number).
CONDITIONS OF USE
- The Balkan Flexipass is not transferable.
- The passenger must enter the date of travel in the corresponding box of the calendar shown on the pass, before boarding the first train.
- The travel days may be used consecutively or non consecutively.
- The dates must be completed in chronological order, in pen or in ink.
- For travel after 19.00 hours, the passenger must enter the following days date on the calendar.
- On the last day of validity, the passenger must arrive at their destination before 24.00 hours.
- For seat or sleeper reservations, or for access to the additional benefits, or
for flight reservations, the ticket issuing office, or, the passenger, must contact/make application
to the corresponding Hellenic Railways’ Travel Agencies as described in Appendix I.
- Tickets that have been altered will be confiscated by train personnel and the passenger will be charged the full fare.
- Passengers must be able to present their passports/Identity cards to train personnel on demand.
- N.B. EXCHANGE OF FLIGHT COUPONS IS NOT POSSIBLE AT THE AIRPORT.
- Transportation covered by a pass is subject to the Uniform Rules concerning the Contract for International Carriage of Passengers and Luggage (C.I.V.).
REFUNDS
- To qualify for a refund, the ticket must be presented to the ticket issuing office, or to a railway official, before the first day of validity.
- The refund is subject to a deduction of 15%.
- In all other cases the passenger is not entitled to a refund. This includes cases of loss and theft.
All passengers are strongly recommended to purchase travel insurance before commencing their journey.
