DESCRIPTION

• The Austrian Railpass offers unlimited train travel on the entire network of Österreichische Bundesbahnen (Austrian Railways) on the days chosen within the period of validity.
• ARP entitles to any 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 days of unlimited travel in 15 days.
• Children aged 6 to 11 as well as children under 6 for whom a seat is required travel at 50% of the adult fare. For the application of this condition, the age on the first day of validity of the ticket is decisive.

ELIGIBILITY

• The Austrian Railpass(ARP) is designed for sale overseas by tour operators and travel agencies to persons having their permanent residence outside Europe. It is also sold to persons residing in the UK.

CONDITIONS OF USE

• The validity on the day of use runs from 0:00 hrs. to 24: hrs.
• ARP is strictly personal and not transferable. It is valid only if name and passport number of the holder are indicated and must be signed by the holder. Presentation of the passport is compulsory when asked for by a railway official charged with ticket inspection.
• The holders themselves fix the first day of the period of validity and the date of use.
• Before boarding the train, the date of use must be entered by the holder in ink or ballpoint pen in the column reserved for that purpose. Passengers who fail to comply with this provision or presenting tampered or altered or otherwise falsified ARPs or ARPs not made out to their name are to be treated as passengers traveling without valid tickets.

SUPPLEMENTS

• The ARP holder is exempt from paying supplements/surcharges except supplements and charges for:
  
  
  • Seat reservations.
  • Sleeper and couchette accommodation.

REFUNDS

• Lost or stolen ARPs are neither refundable nor replaceable.
• Refunds are granted exclusively by the issuing office and only if the ARP is returned unused and complete within six months from the date of issue. All refunds are subject to the deduction of a 15% charge.
