In order to book TCV Point-To-Point ticket you have to:

1. Select origin and destination countries.
2. Click on the calendar to select date.
3. Select “Single” as OW, and RETURN for RT ticket.
4. Product code leave as “Other train”.
5. Choose the relevant price level.
6. Fill in the number of passengers.
7. Select ”Ticket Only” as Journey
8. If you are selling a ticket for a group, don’t forget to mark the group fare box.
9. Leave the other options with default values.
10. Search route. If there are more than one possible routes, select the one you need.
11. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
12. To start over again, click “Clear form”

Seat Reservations

In order to make a seat reservation for Eurail Pass holder you have to provide exact stations and train number. Please, use the link below to check Timetables for specific dates: German Rail Timetables

You cannot book a ticket and reservation at the same time; you have to do that in separate steps.

1. Select the countries and the exact train stations, as per die Bahn.
2. Click on the calendar to select date.
3. Select “Single” as ticket option. It is not possible to make reservation for return ticket!
4. Select “Other train” for Product code.
5. Fill in the number of passengers.
6. As Discount Choose “Eurail Standard” or “Eurail High Speed” according the type of train: only if you are booking a seat reservation for Eurail Passholder.
7. As Journey select “Reservation only”.
8. Enter the train number (as per the official timetables)
9. Under Placement select “Seat”.
10. Select class of service.
11. Leave the other options with default values.
12. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
13. Please note that you cannot get a price quote for seat reservation before you have it in the order.
14. To start over again, click “Clear form”.

Sleeper Reservations as a Supplement for Eurail Passes

The Sleeper reservation for Eurail pass holder should be made in the same way as the Seat reservation. The only difference is that you have to provide more information in the Placement specification section.

1. Select the countries and choose the exact train stations.
2. Click on the calendar to select date.
3. Select “Single” as ticket option. It is not possible to make reservation for return ticket!
4. Select “Other train” for Product code.
5. Choose the relevant price level.
6. Fill in the number of passengers.
7. As Journey select ”Reservation only”.
8. Enter the train number.
9. Under Placement select “Sleeper”.
10. Select compartment type (Male or Female for Standard class or Compartment for First class)
11. Choose compartment size (in most cases it’s 1 or 2-berth for 1st class and 2 or more berths for Standard class)
12. Select class of service.
13. As Discount Choose “Eurail Standard” or “Eurail High Speed” according the type of train.
14. Leave the other options with default values.
15. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
16. Please note that you cannot get a price quote for seat reservation before you have it in the order.
17. To start over again, click “Clear form”

Couchette Reservations as a Supplement to a Pass

Follow the instructions for Sleeper reservations if you want to book a chouchette. The only difference is that you have to specify ”Couchette” as Placement . As compartment type you have to choose ”Mixed” and as compartment size choose 4-berths for 1st class and 6-berths for Standard class.

As mentioned above, in order to book a Seat or a Sleeper reservation for Eurail passes, you have to select the relevant discount. This is a short description of how to use the discounts.

Eurail High Speed discount - for sleepers and most of the High Speed trains such as Thalys, Eurostar Italia, TGV, Talgo and AVE.

Eurail Standard discount - for ICE and “regular” trains such as Inter City trains.

No Discount When booking seat reservation for TCV Open Ticket.

The following error message will be displayed when the chosen discount is not applicable.

If the system rejects both discounts, this means that the Railway doesn’t grant any discounts for this particular train. In this case, please select the “None” option.

If no discount is selected and the reservation requires one, the system will return this error message:
