Features:

      Classes Available: 1st and 2nd

      Fares Available: Adult, Child, Youth, Senior, Group Adult (10 passenger minimum), Group Child (10 passenger minimum all under the age of 12) and Pass Holder.

      Main Routes* and estimated travel times:

o       Paris – Nice: 10 hours 58 mins. (21h17-08h15)

o       Paris – Ventimiglia: 11 hour 42 mins. (21h17-08h59)

o       Paris – Tarbes: 8 hours 59 minutes (23h14-08h15)

o       Paris – Hendaye: 8 hours 8 minutes (23h14-07h22)

o       *Currently trains running on the above routes are fully renovated (new design, new interiors and upholstery). Trains operating on other routes will also be renovated. Renovation should be completed by 2007.

      Other Routes include:

Eligibility:

Available only to residents of Canada, US and Mexico in USD or CAD dollars.

 

Validity:

While discounted fares are offered to certain pass holders, the client still needs to buy a French Journey passholder ticket.

For pass holder fares: pass needs to be validated prior to boarding LUNEA. To apply for a Passholder fare, Flexipass holders need to use a travel day on their Flexipass for a LUNEA journey. The class of service of the ticket must match the class of service on the Railpass.

 

French Journey tickets must be stapled in a European Trains ticket cover.

 

On all SNCF-French trains, it is mandatory to place a tag on each piece of luggage identifying the traveler, prior to entering the train.

Discounts:

Child Discount
Children under the age of 12 pay a reduced rate.

 

Youth Discount
Youths under the age of 26 pay a reduced rate.

 

Senior Discout

Seniors 60 years of age and older pay a discounted rate.

 

Early Booking Discount

Book Early – Tier 2 14 days advance purchase required

Book Early – Tier 3 7 days advance purchase required (Advance purchase will change to 10 days as of March 28th except for routes to the north of France)

 

Pass Holder Discount

Pass holders of a rail pass that includes France pay a reduced rate.

 

Conditions of used:

REFUNDS:

Exchange and refund policies vary depending on the type of fare purchased.

Exchange can be performed locally in France for Individuals.

Exchange can be performed in the US only at the issuance office for Groups.

Refund when authorized, can only be performed in North America up to 60 days after train’s departure date. The unused ticket has to be sent back to the issuing office for a refund within the time frame allowed for such refund. A 20%handling fee may apply. The refund granted on the returned ticket depends on the refund policy of that particular fare.

Processing fee, outlet commission and shipping fees are not refundable.
