Point to Point tickets (Open tickets)

TICKETS AND RESERVATIONS WITHOUT TIMETABLE menu

This section is currently used for selling BritRail One way and Return tickets without reservations (discounted return fares), Eurail Point-To-Point tickets and reservations. The menu is also used to book Sleeper supplements for BR pass and BR ticket holders.

For selling BritRail one way tickets, use sections: TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITHOUT TIMETABLE or TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITH TIMETABLE.

The BritRail Return fares are lower than the fares for two single tickets, therefore, it is important to choose the right screen.

For selling BritRail Return tickets, select: TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITHOUT TIMETABLE

  1. Select Great Britain as country and choose the exact train stations.
  2. Click on the calendar to select date.
  3. Select “Single” or “Return” tickets.
  4. Leave the Product Code as “Other train”.
  5. Choose the relevant price level.
  6. Fill in the number of passengers.
  7. Select “Ticket’ as Journey.
  8. If you are selling a ticket for a group, don’t forget to mark the group fare box.
  9. Leave the other options with default values.
  10. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
  11. For a price quote, click “Price quote”
  12. To start over again, click “Clear form”

BR Seat and Sleeper reservations

BritRail reservation are booked from: TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITH or from: TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITHOUT TIMETABLE screen.

  1. TICKETS AND RESERVATION WITHOUT TIMETABLE screen

    In order to make a reservation from the WITHOUT TIMETABLE screen, you need to know the train number. As BritRail trains do not have train numbers, ACP Railnet uses the departure time as such! For example the train number for a train departing at 23:40 would be 2340. In order to find out BR departures times, please visit: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/index.html To make a reservation, follow the steps below:

    1. Select Great Britain as country and choose the exact train stations.
    2. Click on the calendar to select date.
    3. Select “Single” as ticket option. It is not possible to make reservation for a return ticket!
    4. Product code leave as “Other train” (except for Sleeper)
    5. Choose the relevant price level.
    6. Fill in the number of passengers.
    7. As Journey select "Reservation only"
    8. As Journey select “Ticket and Reservation” (if the client doesn’t have a ticket or a pass) or “Reservation” in case the client already has a ticket or a pass.
    9. If you are selling a Special offer, make sure that you choose the relevant Special offer and/or Discount.
    10. Enter the train number.
    11. Under Placement select “Seat”.
    12. Leave the other options with default values.
    13. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
    14. Please note that you cannot get a price quote for seat reservation before you have it in the order.
    15. To start over again, click “Clear form”.

  2. With Timetables screen

    At present, only BritRail and Sweden rail timetables are loaded in ACP RailNet. To pull up a timetable for a specified date, follow the steps given below:

    1. Select "To" and "From" country and station.
      Note: you can type 1-3 letters of the station name, click search, and select the suitable station from the alphabetical list given by the system.
    2. Click on the calendar to select date
    3. Enter preferred arrival/departure time (note the format)
    4. If you need a timetable for the return trip as well, fill in the date and the time in the relevant section.
    5. Click "Search timetable"
    6. To start again, click "Clear form"

      To view more details or to continue with a booking for a specific train, click on the arrow ">>" in the beginning of the row

      If you don't find suitable connection on the page, you can change the timetable criteria by clicking on "Earlier", "Later", "Previous day" or "Next day". To start a new search, click on "New search".

      Print the timetable by choosing "Print".

      Note! If you have timetables for both directions (return trip), you must work with one connection at a time.

    • Timetables - Specify ticket

      After you have chosen a train, you can proceed with creating a booking.

      1. Enter number of passengers.
      2. Choose the relevant price level.
      3. Select the relevant Special offer and Discount if you are going to book a product, which requires the options (Caledonian Sleeper for example).
      4. Choose the documents for the journey
        • Ticket & reservation (default)
        • Ticket only
        • Reservation only

        Note: Sweden Rail tickets always include a seat reservation. The seat reservation is free of charge. You cannot get a price quote for reservation only. The default value is 0.00

        For BritRail products you can make reservation only and you can also get a price quote before the actual reservation is made.

      5. Fill in the Placement specification boxes if required.
      6. If you are selling a ticket for a group, don't forget to mark the group fare box.
      7. For booking, click "Place order".
      8. For price quote, click "Price quote".
      9. To start over again, click "Clear form".


      Booking from "Timetables".

Caledonian Sleeper

To book Caledonian Sleeper use Menu Without Timetables. Note that you have to use the relevant Special offer and Discount for Caledonian Sleeper.

The Caledonian Sleepers are special products, including a ticket and a sleeper reservation at discounted fare. The Caledonian Sleepers are trains leaving from London Euston to: Aberdeen, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh, Fort William, Inverness, Carlisle and Dundee Tay Bridge.

Caledonian Sleeper Supplements for BR passes:

  1. Enter number of passengers.
  2. Specify Price Level - "BR 1st" or "BR Standard class".
  3. Select "Reservation only".
  4. As Discount None.
  5. In Placement Specification, choose type of compartment, Male or Female for Standard class and Compartment for 1st class; all 1st class compartments are single berth and all 2nd class compartments are 2 berth compartments.
  6. To make a booking, click "Place order".

Sleeper Supplements

These are actually Sleeper reservations for Britrail Pass or Britrail ticket holders. The Sleeper supplements are to be applied to all sleeper trains.

Note: Check the Caledonian Sleeper section for more information about this special product.

From Without Timetables screen:
  1. Select country and choose the exact train stations.
  2. Click on the calendar to select date.
  3. Select “Single” as ticket option. It is not possible to make reservation for return ticket!
  4. Select “Sleeper train” for Product code.
  5. Choose the relevant price level.
  6. Fill in the number of passengers.
  7. As Journey select “Reservation only”.
  8. Enter the train number (Britrail trains use departure time as train number)
  9. Under Placement select Sleeper.
  10. Select compartment type (Male or Female for Standard class or Compartment for First class)
  11. Choose compartment size (2-berth for standard class or 1-berth for 1st class)
  12. Select class of service.
  13. Leave the other options with default values.
  14. To make the booking, click “Place order”. The item will be added to your current order.
  15. Please note that you cannot get a price quote for seat reservation before you have it in the order.
  16. To start over again, click “Clear form”
